The Graduate Program of Universitas Tarumanagara, through the Master of Management and Doctoral Program in Management Science, together with the Center for Education and Training of Universitas Tarumanagara (Pusdiklat Untar), welcomed a visit from the leaders and students of Institut Bisnis dan Teknologi Pelita Indonesia, Pekanbaru, at Untar Campus I on Monday (20/04/2026). The visit was part of an effort to strengthen academic collaboration between higher education institutions, particularly in the fields of management, research development, and the improvement of scientific publication quality. Through this activity, both institutions had the opportunity to exchange experiences on academic management, knowledge development, and strategies for improving the quality of higher education.
The event was attended by Untar Vice Rector Assoc. Prof. Sri Tiatri, S.Psi., M.Si., Ph.D., Psychologist. In her remarks, she stated that the Directorate of Higher Education encourages universities to actively establish cooperation and collaboration. She also expressed her hope that the good relationship between Untar and Institut Pelita Indonesia would continue through various academic activities that benefit both parties.
As part of the program, participants attended a short course led by Prof. Dr. Keni, S.E., M.M., Head of the Master of Management Program at Untar. The class featured the topic “How to Write & Publish a Research Article in Scopus-Indexed International Journal & SINTA-Accredited Journal.” The material covered strategies for writing scientific articles, selecting target journals, and understanding the publication process in reputable journals, including Scopus-indexed international journals and SINTA-accredited national journals.
Through the short course, students of Institut Pelita Indonesia gained practical insights into preparing scientific articles that meet academic publication standards. This activity was also in line with the role of Untar’s Master of Management and Doctoral Program in Management Science in promoting a strong research culture and scientific publication productivity in the field of management.
A representative of Institut Pelita Indonesia, Dr. Layla Hafni, S.E., M.M., expressed appreciation for the warm welcome extended by Untar’s Graduate Program and Pusdiklat Untar. She explained that this academic visit is a regular agenda for each cohort as a learning opportunity from a university that has developed earlier, especially in improving academic and scientific quality.
The event also included the signing of an Implementation Arrangement (IA) between the Vice Rector of Untar and the Dean of the Faculty of Business of Institut Pelita Indonesia. This collaboration represents the commitment of both institutions to improving academic quality, expanding institutional networks, and encouraging scientific publication productivity.
The delegation from Institut Pelita Indonesia included Director of Graduate Studies Prof. Dr. Priyono, S.E., M.M.; Head of the Undergraduate Management Program Dr. Evelyn Wijaya, S.E., M.M.; Head of the Master of Management Program Prof. Dr. Teddy Chandra, S.E., M.M.; and Secretary of the Master of Management Program Dr. Suyono, S.E., M.M. From Untar’s Graduate Program, the event was also attended by Head of Pusdiklat Untar Dr. dr. Arlends Chris, M.Si. and Head of the Doctoral Program in Management Science Prof. Dr. Haris Maupa, S.E., M.Si. The presence of both institutions in this activity reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening academic collaboration, research development, and the quality of scientific publications in higher education.
