The Doctoral Program in Management Science at Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar) held an open doctoral promotion examination at Untar Campus I on Friday (24/04/2026). During the examination, Promovendus Rr. Kartika Nuringsih, S.E., M.Si. officially earned the 23rd Doctoral Degree in Management Science from Untar with the predicate “Very Satisfactory”.

Rr. Kartika Nuringsih defended her dissertation entitled “Determinants of Sustainable Entrepreneurial Intention among Business Actors in Kulon Progo Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta”. The study focuses on sustainable entrepreneurial intention among business actors in Kulon Progo Regency.

In her research, Rr. Kartika Nuringsih examined the influence of entrepreneurial passion, local culture, and network capability on sustainable entrepreneurial intention, with perceived corporate social responsibility (CSR) support as a mediating variable. The study involved micro and small enterprises, cooperatives, and village-owned enterprises.

The findings show that entrepreneurial passion, network capability, and perceived CSR support play a role in encouraging sustainable entrepreneurial intention. Meanwhile, local culture plays an important role in shaping perceived CSR support, although its direct influence on sustainable entrepreneurial intention was not proven significant. These findings contribute to the development of sustainable entrepreneurship, particularly in the context of local business actors in Kulon Progo.

Rr. Kartika Nuringsih currently serves as a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Tarumanagara. She also serves as Secretary of a Study Program within the Faculty of Economics and Business at Untar. Through this research, she emphasized the importance of collaboration among business actors, local government, corporations, state-owned enterprises, region-owned enterprises, and CSR forums in supporting the sustainability of local businesses.

Rr. Kartika Nuringsih hopes that her research findings can serve as input for local governments and relevant stakeholders in developing sustainable entrepreneurship. She also hopes that the study can encourage local business actors to continue strengthening their networks, preserving local cultural values, and developing businesses that are not only economically oriented but also provide social and environmental benefits.
