Jakarta, August 10, 2026 – Another academic achievement has been accomplished by a faculty member of the Master of Management Study Program at Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar). Dr. Ir. Mohammad Agung Saryatmo, S.T., M.T., M.M., Ph.D. has earned his second doctoral degree after completing the Doctoral Program in Industrial Engineering at Universitas Trisakti.
He obtained the degree after successfully defending his dissertation in an Open Doctoral Promotion Examination on August 10, 2026. His dissertation was entitled “Quality 4.0-Based Performance Measurement System in the Food and Beverage Industry in Indonesia.”
This achievement marks Agung’s second doctoral degree. He previously completed a doctoral degree in Management at the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand, in 2021. His academic background also includes a Master of Management from Universitas Diponegoro, a Master of Industrial Engineering from Universitas Trisakti, and the Professional Engineer Program at Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia.
In his doctoral research, Agung developed the Quality 4.0 Performance Measurement System (Q4PMS), a Quality 4.0-based performance measurement system that integrates Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) and Importance–Performance Map Analysis (IPMA). The system is designed to help organizations evaluate performance, determine improvement priorities, and generate data-driven recommendations.
The research integrates five key dimensions, namely Digital Readiness, Technological Capability, Process Performance, Organizational Performance, and Sustainability Performance. The development of Q4PMS is expected to support digital transformation while improving decision-making effectiveness and organizational competitiveness.
The findings also identified Organizational Performance as the main improvement priority in the implementation of Quality 4.0. Q4PMS was developed not only as a performance measurement system, but also as a Decision Support System that connects data, analysis, visualization, and recommended actions within an integrated framework.
As a lecturer in the Untar Master of Management Study Program, this second doctoral achievement further strengthens Agung’s expertise in management, performance measurement, digital transformation, and Quality 4.0. His multidisciplinary competence is expected to enrich teaching, research, and academic development within the Master of Management Study Program.
This achievement also reflects the commitment of the Untar Master of Management faculty to continuous learning and professional development. Through strengthened academic and research capacity, faculty members are expected to create meaningful impact for students, the advancement of knowledge, industry, and society. (JAT)
