The Postgraduate Program of Universitas Tarumanagara (PPs Untar) continues to enhance the quality of its academic offerings by inviting Visiting Professors, in line with its ongoing internationalization agenda.
On Saturday (06/14/2025), Visiting Professor, Prof. Januar Parlaungan Siregar, Ph.D., from Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), delivered a special lecture to students of the Doctoral Program in Management Science (DIM). The session was part of the Research Methodology course taught by Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., IPU, ASEAN Eng.
Prof. Januar is a distinguished professor at UMPSA, with an impressive academic track record, including an H-Index of 25 on Scopus, 22 on Web of Science, and 33 on Google Scholar.
His lecture, titled “How to Write a Research Article for Publication in a Scopus-Indexed International Journal”, provided practical tips and strategies for writing high-quality journal articles. The session covered key aspects such as crafting a strong title, writing the abstract and background, explaining research methodology, discussing findings, and drawing conclusions. Prof. Januar emphasized the importance of originality, the presence of significant findings, and strictly avoiding plagiarism.
