The Master of Management Program at Universitas Tarumanagara (MM Untar) held a hybrid seminar on the theme “Disruptive Innovation in Financial Services” on Saturday (24/02/2024). The in-person session took place at the Main Building of Campus 1, Universitas Tarumanagara, while the online session was conducted via Zoom. This event also coincided with the New Student Briefing for the MM Untar Class 73. Dr. Alexander, S.E., M.M., President & CEO of PT Maybank Indonesia Finance, was invited as the speaker.
During his session, Dr. Alexander discussed how disruptive innovation is reshaping the financial services industry, the challenges emerging from this shift, and strategies companies can adopt to stay relevant in the digital era. He highlighted how technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, and digital banking have transformed the way society interacts with financial services. He also emphasized the role of fintech in accelerating financial inclusion and how traditional financial institutions can adapt to these changes.
The seminar received strong enthusiasm from participants, including students, academics, and professionals in the financial sector. Interactive discussions and Q&A sessions provided a deeper understanding for participants about the challenges and opportunities of innovation in the financial services industry.

The event continued with an orientation for the new students of Class 73 for the Even Semester of 2023/2024. The session was led by the Head of the MM Untar Program, Dr. Keni, S.E., M.M. Through this orientation, students were encouraged to complete their studies quickly and efficiently without obstacles. New students also had the opportunity to ask questions about the program and its offerings.
The event concluded with a social gathering between the new students, faculty, and staff. It is hoped that this event will provide valuable experiences for the new students and boost their enthusiasm for learning at MM Untar.
