Perth, October 24th, 2024 – Dr. Keni S.E., M.M., the Head of the Master of Management Program at Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar), participated in a visit to Curtin University, Australia. This visit was part of the annual program of the Indonesian Master of Management Program Alliance (APMMI), aimed at strengthening relationships between higher education institutions and developing collaborations in the field of business education.
The event began with an Acknowledgement of Country by Tuguy Esgin, Dean – Indigenous Engagement, Faculty of Business and Law at Curtin University, followed by a speech from Xiaotian Zhang, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Global Office of the DVC International.
During the session, Curtin University shared their experience with the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accreditation process, presented by Helen Verhoeff, Accreditation & Quality Assurance Manager, Faculty of Business and Law. This AACSB accreditation process served as a benchmark for the delegates in their efforts to improve educational quality standards. Currently, only about 5% of thousands of business schools worldwide have achieved this prestigious accreditation.

The participants then gained valuable insights on Business Sustainability, presented by Hadrian Djajadikerta, Professor at the School of Accounting, Economics and Finance at Curtin University. This session emphasized the importance of sustainability strategies in modern business.
The event concluded with a presentation by Annette Morgan, Academic Leader of FBLL Industry Exchange, who introduced The Tax Clinic, a collaborative program between Curtin Business School, the business world, and the community, aimed at addressing challenges in the field of taxation.
The involvement of the MM Program at Untar in this visit further strengthens Untar’s active role in the management education community, both nationally through APMMI and internationally. It is hoped that this activity will open up broader collaboration opportunities and strengthen the network between higher education institutions in Indonesia and Australia.
