The Postgraduate Program of Universitas Tarumanagara (PPs Untar) achieved another academic milestone with the inauguration of Prof. Dr. Keni, S.E., M.M. as a Permanent Professor in Management Science. The inauguration ceremony was held on Thursday (10/30/2025), at the 8th Floor Auditorium, Building M, Campus I Untar, Jakarta.
In his inaugural scientific oration titled “Exploring the Three Pillars Shaping Indonesians’ Digital Content Preferences,” Prof. Keni addressed strategic issues surrounding the digital behavior of Indonesian society amid the rapid pace of technological transformation. He emphasized that technology cannot be separated from the moral responsibility and wisdom of those who use it. “Technology is merely a tool created to make life easier, but its direction and impact on society are entirely determined by how humans choose to use it,” Prof. Keni stated during his oration.
In his presentation, Prof. Keni identified three key factors shaping public behavior in consuming and producing digital content: attitude, subjective norms, and perceived content quality. These three pillars, he explained, play a crucial role in understanding how individuals decide to engage with various digital platforms. As the Head of the Master of Management Program at Untar, Prof. Keni underscored that digital literacy and social responsibility are essential pillars for both academia and industry. “Educators and content creators must prioritize values, relevance, and credibility in every work they produce, for that is where public trust is built,” he affirmed.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Untar Rector, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M.; Chairman of the Tarumanagara Foundation, Prof. Dr. Ariawan Gunadi, S.H., M.H.; along with university leaders, lecturers, students, and invited guests. Both the Rector and the Foundation Chairman expressed their appreciation for Prof. Keni’s achievement, recognizing it as a significant contribution to Untar’s advancement in management science and the strengthening of its commitment to the Tri Dharma of Higher Education—education, research, and community service. The inauguration was officiated directly by the Rector, who bestowed the gold medallion as a symbol of professorship. The event concluded with a special performance by alumni of the Master of Management program and congratulatory remarks from university leaders and the postgraduate academic community.
This milestone marks an important moment for PPs Untar in enhancing its academic reputation and educational quality. With the addition of a new professor, it is hoped that more research and innovations in the field of management will emerge from Untar, contributing meaningfully to the development of both academic knowledge and business practices in Indonesia. Prof. Keni’s achievement not only brings pride to the institution but also serves as an inspiration for all lecturers and students to continue innovating within their respective fields of study.
