The Directorate General of Higher Education, through the Higher Education Service Institution (LLDikti) Region III, organized an event titled Optimization of Educational Staff Competence in Lecturer Career Management and Improving Lecturer IKU (Key Performance Indicators) Activities Outside Campus. The event took place at the Trisakti School of Management (TSM) campus in Bekasi on Tuesday (09/30/2025). It was attended by representatives from various universities within the LLDikti Region III area. Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar) was represented by the Director of its Postgraduate Program (PPs), Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., I.P.U., ASEAN Eng., who was invited as a speaker, alongside a speaker from Universitas Esa Unggul.
Dr. H. Aulia Danibrata, S.E., M.M., Chairperson of the Trisakti School of Economics, as the host, welcomed all participants and speakers and expressed appreciation to LLDikti Region III for organizing the event. “This activity is an important step in strengthening the role of educational staff in supporting lecturer career management as well as improving the performance of the tridharma (three pillars) of higher education. Thank you to the speakers and all participants for taking the time to attend. We hope this event brings real benefits for enhancing the quality of higher education,” said Dr. Aulia.
The next speech was delivered by Dr. Henri Tambunan, S.E., M.Ak., Head of LLDikti Region III. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of collaboration between lecturers and educational staff in achieving the university’s key performance indicators (IKU). “The quality of higher education is not only determined by lecturers but also by educational staff who are the main pillars in supporting administration, academic services, and human resource management. Through this activity, we strengthen our collective ability to manage lecturer careers to be more adaptive and performance-oriented,” explained Dr. Henri.
In his presentation, Prof. Agustinus shared tips on strengthening a performance-based lecturer career management system and strategies to improve IKU through cross-institutional collaboration. “Lecturers should maintain a well-organized personal administration system and consistently strive to improve their competencies through research, publication, community service, and teaching activities. The tridharma of higher education must be balanced and not focused solely on teaching. Moreover, all documents generated from these tridharma activities should be neatly and sequentially stored according to the year of publication, making it easier and faster to access the data when needed for functional rank promotions or other purposes,” explained Prof. Agustinus. He added that improving each lecturer’s competence can also be achieved by building collaborations with local and international partners.
Through this event, LLDikti Region III hopes that all universities can optimize their support for lecturers actively engaging in activities outside campus, whether through applied research, industry collaboration, or community service.
The event concluded with an interactive discussion and Q&A session, reaffirming the shared commitment to continuously enhance the competence of educational staff and strengthen human resource management within the higher education environment.
