Expanding Cooperation, INTI Malaysia Visits Untar Postgraduate Program

The Untar Postgraduate Program welcomed a visit from INTI International University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, as part of efforts to strengthen the cooperation that has been established for the past five years, on Tuesday (07/22/2025), at Untar Campus 1. This visit was an honor for Untar because INTI International University is one of the leading universities in Malaysia and has been an important part of Untar’s internationalization efforts. Both universities continue to carry out strategic initiatives to expand their cooperation, this time involving Untar’s Postgraduate Program (PPs). The visit of Prof. Dr. Goh Khang Wen, Pro Vice Chancellor of Global Engagement, International Relations and Collaborations Centre, was warmly received by the Director of PPs, Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., IPU., ASEAN Eng., accompanied by the Development and Cooperation Manager, Dr. Dra. Paula Tjatoerwidya Anggarina, M.M.

Prof. Goh specifically appreciated the ongoing collaboration and expressed plans to develop further cooperation involving PPs through the Master of Management and Doctor of Management Science study programs. “The collaboration so far has had a very positive impact on us, both institutionally and for our students, as it provides opportunities to gain international experience and insights. This visit aims to invite students at higher levels, namely master’s and doctoral students, to collaborate with our students in producing work with a global reputation,” said Prof. Goh. He added that the opportunities for joint activities are very promising and supported by the Malaysian government.

Although the meeting was brief, it was very prospective and was warmly welcomed by Prof. Agustinus, who proposed many strategic suggestions. “Expanding cooperation with INTI International University is very feasible to implement in PPs, especially collaborations in learning activities such as student and faculty exchanges, guest lectures, external examiners, joint research and publications, journal reviewing, international seminars, and various activities that benefit the enhancement of reputation and rankings.” “We are very open to continuously improving cooperation in various fields, according to the potential of each institution,” said Prof. Agustinus.

The government, through the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemendiktisaintek), emphasizes the importance of collaboration between universities, both domestic and international, to support the improvement of education quality, research, and innovation, as well as to broaden global perspectives for students and faculty. “Untar, through the Postgraduate Program, will actively contribute to realizing the nation’s and state’s aspirations by producing high-quality human resources,” concluded Prof. Agustinus, closing the meeting.
