At the end of the 2024/2025 Even Semester, the Master of Management (MM) Program at Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar) held thesis examinations as a form of final evaluation for its students. The series of thesis defenses took place intensively from Monday (06/23/2025) to Thursday (06/26/2025), aiming to assess the students’ competencies after conducting scientific research in their chosen concentration. Each student is expected to demonstrate critical and analytical thinking skills, as well as the ability to communicate scientifically. The thesis defenses were conducted in person at Untar Campus 1, with online examination options available for students working or residing outside Jakarta while still upholding the quality standards established by the Untar Postgraduate Program. The examination committees consisted of both academics and practitioners, in line with the students’ research topics.

The MM Program at Untar offers a wide range of concentrations, including human resource management, digital marketing, finance, business strategy, organizational digital transformation, and hospital management. This diversity provides students with practical and relevant choices for the professional world, supported by lecturers who are not only academics but also practitioners. “Upon completing their studies in a chosen concentration, students are expected to make significant contributions to the professional world or to be equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue doctoral education. We support and facilitate students who wish to continue to the Doctor of Management Science (DIM) Program at Untar’s Postgraduate Program,” said Prof. Agustinus, Director of the Postgraduate Program at Untar.
The MM Program gives special recognition to students who successfully publish their research in accredited journals of at least Sinta 3 or international journals, with the minimum standard being publication in a Sinta 4 journal. “In this Even Semester, more than 30 percent of students’ articles were published in Sinta 3 journals. We are proud that MM Untar students can contribute tangibly to the advancement of knowledge and support the institution’s reputation, while also enriching their academic portfolio,” stated Dr. Keni, S.E., M.M., Head of the MM Program.
“Congratulations to all students who have completed and passed the thesis examination. We wish you continued success. The MM Program will continue to promote the development of applied research relevant to the needs of the business and industrial sectors,” concluded Dr. Keni.
