Postgraduate Program Untar Strives for International-Standard Excellence in Accreditation

The Postgraduate Program (PPs) of Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar) held its annual work meeting on Thursday (06/12/2025) and Friday (06/13/2025), at the Untar campus. The two-day event brought together all academic leaders and administrative staff, serving as a strategic moment to evaluate past performance and formulate development plans for 2026. The focus was on advancing the Master of Management (MM) and Doctor of Management Science (DIM) programs toward becoming internationally recognized centers of excellence.

In his opening remarks, Rector of Untar, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., emphasized the importance of bold and innovative breakthroughs to build a strong reputation at both the national and international levels. “Postgraduate Program Untar must develop strategic work programs through academic innovation in order to achieve international recognition. Key steps include obtaining international accreditation, strengthening collaboration with educational institutions and industry partners, increasing the number of international students and faculty, implementing a fast-track program from undergraduate to doctoral level, and launching new programs to boost enrollment,” he stated.

Director of Postgraduate Program Untar, Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., IPU., ASEAN Eng., encouraged leaders of both study programs to design actionable plans that not only meet the target of achieving “Excellent” accreditation by 2026 but also exceed expectations by prioritizing internationalization.

Head of the MM Program, Dr. Keni, S.E., M.M., highlighted the importance of the meeting in strengthening the synergy between the MM and DIM programs. She emphasized efforts to enhance the quality of the university’s three pillars—education, research, and community service—through partnerships with renowned universities both in Indonesia and abroad. Meanwhile, Head of the DIM Program, Prof. Dr. Haris Maupa, S.E., M.Si., stressed the importance of expanding academic and community engagement collaborations with industry and business sectors to increase student enrollment.

Postgraduate Program Untar’s Annual Work Meeting

Both the MM and DIM programs currently enroll international students and faculty and recognize prior learning achievements (RPL). A research-based learning pathway is also available in both programs.

The annual work meeting is expected to propel Postgraduate Program Untar into a flagship program, recognized and trusted both nationally and internationally.
