The Master of Management Program at Tarumanagara University (MM Untar) held a webinar with the theme “Opportunities, Challenges, and Business Strategies: New Car Financing in Indonesia” online via Zoom on Thursday (23/06/2022). The event featured Dr. Alexander, S.E., M.M., President & CEO of PT Maybank Indonesia Finance, as the keynote speaker, and was moderated by Sri Wulandari, S.H., VP of Strategic Initiative & Project Management at PT Bank DBS Indonesia, who is also an MM Untar student.
In his opening remarks, the Director of the Postgraduate Program at Untar, Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., IPU., ASEAN Eng., emphasized the importance of this event in gaining strategic tips, especially in the financial sector, from professional experience. “We highly value the valuable insights from CEOs of large companies, as they are crucial in making breakthroughs for both our businesses and the places where we work,” he stated.

In this session, Dr. Alexander discussed the dynamics of the motor vehicle financing industry in Indonesia, including trends in demand and consumer behavior in purchasing new cars, banking and financing institutions’ strategies in facing industry competition, the impact of regulations on vehicle financing in Indonesia, and opportunities for business growth and financial service innovations.
